In addition to my scholarly education, I have gained many years of practical work experience in various fields of social work. The combination of theoretical discourse and practical experience thus plays a significant role for me.
My aim is to connect these various issues and theoretical models with social work. The main target of social work continues to be the improvement of the everyday life of the adressees, so they can have a more self-determined and successful life. (Hans Thiersch)
The applicability of theoretical knowledge is reflected in my events: the presented models will be related to the everyday work of your institution and to your specific questions.
Professional social action needs a return to theoretical knowledge, just as theories of an action science need to be applied in practice to demonstrate their effectiveness and usefulness with concrete examples: theories (of social work) are tools that help us to describe and explain realities of everyday life.
